Dear RBS Family, September 22, 2023
As we approach the end of our first full month back at RBS, we have been reflecting on what a positive, fun, and learning-filled start we have had! Our students have not only been learning about how to become better readers, writers and mathematicians, but also (and arguably just as vital for success!), they have been learning about empathy, making friends and collaborating with peers. As a whole school, we have been learning more about how we can all demonstrate our 3 Bs of Being Nice, Being Safe, and always trying our Best! As you visit, you might notice some language around the school for common areas, stated in a positive way. Here is an example of our ‘Classroom Expectations' - talk about how these are demonstrated in class!
A few reminders to our families:

When dropping off children at morning arrival, please ensure to pull up as far as possible to allow for others behind you in the car line to do the same. In addition, if using the drop off lane, please ensure students can get out of the car using the passenger side independently - this not only can be a safety concern if parents/students are getting out of the car on the drivers’ side, but also can result in more traffic build up. If children aren’t yet able to do so independently, no worries - just go ahead and park the car and walk them to the front door using our crosswalk. Your help is greatly appreciated!

Please continue to bring your photo ID in when visiting RBS, visitors are doing a wonderful job with this!

Students can enter the building beginning at 8:30, and school starts promptly at 8:50.

Early parent pick-up ends at 3:00pm daily - this allows us to have a safe and smooth dismissal.
